An aeroplane made an emergency touchdown in Phuket yesterday. The Thai Smile Airways Airbus A320 made the landing at Phuket International Airport at 1pm because of engine issues.
The Phuket Info Center, which operates underneath the Phuket Provincial Office, confirmed the incident today.
According to the centre’s report, the A320 made a “hard landing” with a tailstrike on the runway. Luckily, the pilot managed to convey the plane to a halt and all passengers obtained off safely, the report added.
