A leading Kenyan warehouse and logistics service supplier Cold Solutions, says it’s going to make investments USD 70 million to assemble the largest cold chain facility in East Africa to handle challenges that face transportation of perishable items.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi would be the largest, most superior and efficient in the region. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for numerous temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and a number of product ranges, from recent fruit and greens, to prescription drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
Cold Solutions Kenya is a portfolio firm of ARCH Cold Chain Solutions East Africa Fund, a non-public fairness fund suggested by ARCH Emerging Markets Partners Limited (ARCH).
