To meet this, the production of such 34-millimetre thick orifice plates, manufactured from 316SS steel with a diameter of 2,690 millimetres, in addition to machining, testing, inspection and shipping were accelerated. The shipping of the orifice plates was carried out meticulously. As a bore of just one 1,275 millimetres had to be executed with an accuracy of � 0.4 millimetres, precision and great skill were required.
