Amarinth delivers 18m-long pumps for new Indian FPSO

Amarinth has completed a US$1.5 million order from Armada Madura for six API 610 VS4 vertical pumps for a new FPSO being built for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour point depressant pumps which might be 18m in size and the opposite 4 are methanol carry pumps which may be 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and built along the size of the pumps to observe the temperature of each bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches each pump to its tank throughout installation making certain that as the pump is lowered into the tank it remains perfectly aligned, reducing vibration and put on throughout operation.
Once assembled, เกจวัดแรงดันไนโตรเจน had been independently witness examined and certified by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps had been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and installation had to align with the FPSO construct schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they needed to be put in into the vessel’s tanks through the deck earlier than another deck above the pumps could be constructed. The first part was completed efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the client with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 field, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply as a lot as ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It will be equipped to handle the monsoon conditions prevalent at the subject.
