{"id":2456,"date":"2023-08-02T10:46:13","date_gmt":"2023-08-02T10:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volleyballvnl.com\/?p=2456"},"modified":"2023-08-02T10:46:13","modified_gmt":"2023-08-02T10:46:13","slug":"hiking-against-dementia-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/volleyballvnl.com\/?p=2456","title":{"rendered":"Hiking against dementia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dementia is one of the main causes of disability in later life, with over 850,000 people currently diagnosed with the disease in the UK.  <a href=\"http:\/\/octagauge.net\">Victim<\/a>  of twelve from WIKA UK took part in a 25-kilometre march organised by the Alzheimer\u2019s Society with the motto \u201cUnited we trek against dementia\u201d.<br\/>Starting in  <a href=\"http:\/\/chanthaburionly.com\">Is Here<\/a> , Surrey, the trek led ten kilometres along the Thames, before heading inland to cross magnificent lush countryside and arrive at Carshalton, Surrey. The WIKA walkers raised the lordly sum of 3,890 pounds, thus far exceeding their target of 3,200 pounds and ranking WIKA UK among the top donors of the event.<br\/>As Jonathan Peaurt, managing director of WIKA UK, emphasises: \u201cThe WIKA team walked for all people, past and present, who have been and are currently affected by dementia.\u201d Also  <a href=\"http:\/\/download-latest.com\">Keen<\/a>  of the walkers\u2019 families were or are affected. It was a good day for all participants, also thanks to the high sum of donations.
