Mohamad Hasan, also referred to as Tok Mat, stated that he respects DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke\u2019s opinion against issuing such an apology and urged all parties concerned to maneuver on in the direction of the longer term.<br\/>\u201cI actually think it\u2019s an excellent factor but if Anthony said to move on then it is up to them.  <a href=\"http:\/\/familyalldays.com\">Uncharted<\/a> s their stand,\u201d he mentioned through the Umno General Assembly 2023, referring to Loke. \u201cBut I don\u2019t need this apology concern to create a crack in the unity government.\u201d<br\/>Mohamad had beforehand suggested that it might be helpful for DAP to problem an apology to Umno, and that the wing had not been wrong in making the demand. \u201cIf DAP can apologise to the people of Sarawak and its authorities, why not to us? It\u2019ll make us closer as pals,\u201d he mentioned, referring to the parts within the federal coalition.<br\/>On June eight, Umno Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh made a controversial demand through the Umno General Assembly 2023 for enemy-turned-ally DAP to apologise to the party for its past attacks on them. Dr Akmal demanded DAP apologise to Umno for its past errors, and to show its sincerity to the coalition authorities led by PKR\u2019s Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which contains Pakatan Harapan element events and the Barisan Nasional, Gabungan Parti Sarawak, and Gabungan Bersatu Sabah.<br\/>Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi shortly dismissed the need for DAP to apologise, because the matter doesn&#8217;t need to be raised again by his get together.
