Cassius, measuring 5.48 meters in length, has been a resident of the park on Green Island in Queensland\u2019s Great Barrier Reef since 1984, after being captured in the Northern Territory\u2019s Finniss River for allegedly causing numerous cattle deaths.<br\/>Cassius, who holds the Guinness World Record for the largest crocodile in captivity, still displays excessive energy despite his age. Typically, older reptiles are inclined to turn into torpid and fewer aware of their environment. \u201cHe\u2019s one of the liveliest crocodiles we have, and he\u2019s very engaged with the park,\u201d mentioned park proprietor George Craig. Cassius\u2019s pores and skin bears many scars from fights he took half in during his youthful years within the wild.<br\/>Graeme Webb, one of many scientists involved in capturing Cassius, recalled the scale of the reptile at the time: \u201cHe was sixteen ft, 10 inches with at least another 6 inches of tail lacking and a bit of a snout lacking.\u201d<br\/><br\/>Cassius was transported over 3,000 kilometres from his capture website to Cairns before being delivered to Green Island by ferry. Marineland Crocodile Park initially opened in 1971, with more than 30 crocodiles being transported from Daru, Papua New Guinea to the park on Green Island.<br\/>A week ago,a 19 year old teenager in Northern Australia had a miraculous escape after being dragged underwater by a large crocodile whereas out fishing with his relations on Groote Eylandt. Despite his terrifying expertise, Zefha Butcher managed to survive the harrowing encounter with only minor accidents.<br\/>Zefha had been fishing alongside along with his 10 12 months outdated brother and another relative when the incident happened at round 8pm native time earlier last month. According to  <a href=\"http:\/\/diningdelightshub.xyz\">Unconditional<\/a> , the crocodile all of a sudden attacked him from behind, gripping his waist with its powerful jaws.
