Rotork assists BAE Systems in naval base actuator upgrades

Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to improve a series of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling movement of ships between the sea and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
A collection of A-range actuators had reached the tip of their operational life after long service in a challenging environment. BAE Systems wished to retain all the benefits of electric actuators, so IQ3 actuators have been chosen. เกจวัดแรงดัน1บาร์ needed to be specifically tailored by Rotork to beat problems around confined spaces and tough access.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes have been mechanically tailored so that both actuator and gearbox could be manually operated without getting into the confined area. Rotork designed special hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to eliminate the need for confined house entry.
Actuators inside the IQ vary are watertight, offering ingress safety to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a complicated dual stacked display with configurable information logger functionality, and an absolute place sensor provides reliability and accuracy.
